Is this an online course?

Yes. Once your order goes through, you'll get instant access to a set of video lectures lasting over four hours. The lecturer will go through the components of comedy in a step-by-step manner with the aid of diagrams. These are serious academic-style lectures, that go into a lot of detailed analysis. The pace is slow and thorough. We will dive deep into the subject of comedy and the psychology behind it. Please note that learning comedy takes time. This course is not for the impatient. It will take many hours of practice until you start seeing consistent results.

What's the course objective?

Our aim is to teach you how to be more spontaneous and funny in your everyday social interactions. For example, at parties, when you're hanging out with friends or just talking to strangers in normal everyday life - any social situation. So that you can make people laugh more often and create genuine connections with others. Make new friends, enhance existing relationships, improve your love life and boost your social skills.

Will you give me a list of jokes to use?

No, this course teaches you how to improvise, rather than give you scripted routines. In other words, how to be naturally funny when you are being social, how spontaneous jokes are formed and the science behind those playful interactions - which occur naturally. When it comes to comedy, authenticity is key. We’ll teach you how to think on your feet and how to turn boring things in funny moments. We are all naturally funny to a certain extent. The trick is to understand what we are doing when we are making people laugh, and how we can repeat those behaviours to get consistent results.

I already have a good sense of humour, is this course for me?

Yes. This course goes into a lot of intricate detail, both on the psychology and practical tips. If you have good existing social skills, then you'll get even more out of this course. You see, many people have good comedic instincts but they simply need to be shown what's happening at a conscious level, in order to get consistent results. Once you are aware of the components, it will be like having x-ray vision. You'll understand what it is you were doing all along.

What's the best way to make someone laugh?

When it comes to being more funny there is no 'golden nugget'. Learning comedy comes down to taking a multilayered approach: Understanding things like voice tone, body language, word-play, comedic conflict, character comedy, playfulness, imagination, empathy, truth and fine-tuning your powers of observation and improvisation. Comedy is about understanding the little things, and how to blend them together in the right way.

How long does it take to learn comedy?

The first step to learning comedy is awareness. E.g. Take a course, learn from others, watch people closely. Then you need to get out into the world and try things out. Experiment. Figure out where you're going right and what's not working. When you fail, keep trying, making small changes. Although this course forms just one of those steps, it will save you a lot of time by distilling an encyclopedia of information into its basic components.

Yes but how long does it take until I see results??

If you pay attention to this course and practice each week, then you'll see results within a month. But it will take several months of experimentation and practice to get consistently funny. Most comedians spend a lifetime fine-tuning their craft. Mastering the art of comedy is not for the impatient. So let's be realistic, you're not going to wake up next week and be the funniest person in the room. But you can, and will, become funnier over time with regular practice.

How much is the course?

Access to all content costs £125.00 GBP for one year. This gives you plenty of time to watch and re-watch the videos at your own leisure as you embark on your comedic journey. Remember, comedy takes time to learn, so make sure you are truly committed before you sign up. You can always bookmark this site if you need more time to think about it.

Do you have a social media presence?

No. Our aim is to bring you high quality comedy training without too many distractions.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Fear not. There's no ongoing subscription. When you place your order you'll get access to the course for exactly one year.
